biography
My name is Charlotte Rice and I am a silversmith and jeweller. My business called CAR Designs was established in 2000.This year I will be concentrating on producing unique pieces, especially large pendants, and new items of silverware. Much of my work will still be in silver but I now have a substantial range of gold pieces which is expanding all the time I already produce many items of silverware such as spoons, bookmarks, napkin rings and keyrings and this year I am looking to add such things as a nought + crosses set, bowls, ladles and hopefully a chess set. My church plate work has also diversified and now includes altar bells to match a chalice and paten made in the past.
I am a member of Produced in Kent which promotes everything that is grown or produced in Kent. This scheme is very helpful to local businesses and you can find my most up to date details and events list.
My work is now available by Mail Order. The catalogue contains a selection of my more popular lines at the same prices as those on my stand. I will be attend many shows throughout the year but I also offer sales opportunities at work places, sports and social clubs, charities organisations and private homes. These are very successful because they are small and personal and the customers can meet me and discuss my work. If you would like to organise a private event please ask for an explanatory leaflet.
